Feng Chia University Hosts 2026 PUPC and Achieves Record-High Three Gold Awards

The Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science and the Office of Information Technology at Feng Chia University jointly hosted the 16th Private Universities Programming Contest (2026 PUPC) on July 15. As one of the most prestigious programming competitions among Taiwan’s private universities, the event also serves as an important stepping stone toward the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia-Pacific Regional Contest. Conducted according to the standards of an official qualifying competition, the top 10 teams earned coveted qualification spots for the ICPC Taiwan Regional Contest.

Feng Chia University and Mae Fah Luang University Enter Their Third Year of Reciprocal Overseas Learning, Witnessing Student Growth Through Cross-Cultural Exchange

The reciprocal overseas learning program jointly organized by the College of Business at Feng Chia University and Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) of Thailand has entered its third year. From July 1 to July 23, faculty members and students from both institutions participated in a two-way exchange between Chiang Rai, Thailand, and Taichung, Taiwan. The program not only covered topics such as business communication, sustainable accounting, and entrepreneurship, but also immersed students in authentic cross-cultural learning environments.

Feng Chia University Wins Jury Gold and Bronze Awards in the Application Category at the 26th Macronix Golden Silicon Awards

The 26th Macronix Golden Silicon Awards – Semiconductor Design and Application Contest, often regarded as the “Oscars” of Taiwan’s electronics and electrical engineering industry, held its awards ceremony on July 25. Competing against 274 teams and nearly 1,000 faculty members and students from 33 universities and colleges nationwide, two student teams from Feng Chia University distinguished themselves by winning the Jury Gold Award and Jury Bronze Award in the Application Category.

Feng Chia University and Politecnico di Torino Launch First International Summer School on Cybersecurity and Microelectronics

Feng Chia University and Italy’s leading engineering institution, Politecnico di Torino, jointly hosted their first-ever International Summer School on Cybersecurity, Microelectronics, and Emerging Technologies from July 6 to 10. The program brought together nine students from Feng Chia University's College of Information and Electrical Engineering and 27 students from Italy.

FCU Wins National AI Automation Competition Championship for Second Consecutive Year

Feng Chia University achieved an outstanding result at the 15th National Collegiate AI Automation Equipment Innovation Competition, organized by Gallant Precision Machining Co., Ltd., earning one championship and two honorable mention awards. With three winning projects in a single year, Feng Chia University received more awards than any other institution in this year’s competition, demonstrating its strong research and development capabilities in AI-driven smart manufacturing. Following the championship-winning project RoadScan Pro in 2025, FCU has now claimed the competition’s top prize for two consecutive years. Among the highlights of this year’s event was Chun-Yu Hung, a student from the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science, who contributed to both championship teams—RoadScan Pro in 2025 and InsightWafer in 2026.

FCU Programming and Creative Challenge Highlights Interdisciplinary Innovation and AI-Powered Creativity

The 2025–26 Programming and Creative Challenge, organized by the Information Technology Learning Center of Feng Chia University’s iSchool, was held on May 30. Students from 12 departments—including Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical and Computer-Aided Engineering, Statistics, Chinese Literature, Chemical Engineering, Cooperative Economics and Social Entrepreneurship, and Communications Engineering—formed interdisciplinary teams to participate. An award ceremony was held on June 12, with FCU President and iSchool Dean Wei Wang presenting awards to the winners.
